Vincent in Costa Rica! - Final Day

Where is exporTT’s Research Officer Vincent Ramlochan? Currently executing a Market Survey Mission to Costa Rica from the 5th- 14th February, 2018. He is gathering that coveted market intelligence that will aid local exporters in navigating the market.

As everyone was celebrating #Carnival, Research Officer Vincent Ramlochan was in Limon to understand the strong Caribbean influence of the people. He had the distinct pleasure of meeting with members of the board and team at the Port and Customs respectively, where he sought information on shipping logistics. Manufacturers of #ConstructionMaterials, look forward to sector and distributor insight from Shop Manager at Colono Construcción!

Vincent was diligently combing through the details with the full Costa Rican Customs team in San Jose (pictured below with Nireen Jasper, Chargé d'Affaires a.i.); documenting all procedures and practices in Costa Rica and seeking answers to issues faced by exporters in the past.

He delved into the feasiblity of selling directly to companies that bid for large construction products. Sourcing information from #Construction titan EDICA Constructora. YOU CAN FIND OUT at the Dissemination Seminar next month. (pictured centre: Vincent with Jeffery Sallas Bonilla Departmento de Presupuestos)

At the start of the mission, Vincent met with Ministry and Distributors. Following a courtesy call to the Trinidad and Tobago Embassy in Costa Rica, Vincent was at the Ministerio De Economia, Industria Y Comercio where he met with the Vice Minister, Marcia Montes Cantillo (pictured left) and the Ministerio de Comercio Exterior de Costa Rica (Ministry of Foreign Trade) where he was met by the full team . But that is not all! Having met with major distributor Oceanic Foods and the EPA Costa Rica one of the largest hardware chains, we are excited to learn what he has gleaned on leading in these sectors!
