Chief Executive Officer

Dietrich Guichard is the Chief Executive Officer of exporTT Limited effective April 4th 2017.

Mr. Guichard has more than twenty years executive and managerial experience covering the manufacturing, distribution, oil&gas and petrochemical sectors and has served as a member of the Board of Directors at Shell Trinidad Limited.

He holds an Executive MBA from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business and has a BSc (Hons) Industrial Management from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine.

Together with the Board, Management and Staff of exporTT, Dietrich is focused on developing a sustainable and diversified export sector for Trinidad and Tobago.


Manager Finance and Investments

Dwight Brown has developed extensive experience in management, auditing, accounting and operations of an export promotion organization. He is a qualified accountant and holds an MBA in Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Possessing and advanced level certification in Spanish, Mr. Brown has held various senior management positions in the local business environment and also in the wider Caribbean. He joined the BDC (now exporTT) in 2010 as Manager Finance and Investments.

His specialties include: Management and performance, change management, business development, and accounting.

 

 


 

Manager Training, (Ag.) Manager Marketing and New Media

Mrs. Maria Padilla-Benjamin, has 18 years working experience in Human Resource Development, eleven (11) of which has been within the Trade environment.   She has a passion for learning and influencing individuals to acquire the knowledge, information and/or attitudes necessary for the achievement of individual as well as organizational goals and objectives.

As Manager Training for exporTT, she views her role as engendering a commitment to professional growth and continuous learning of all Exporters in Trinidad & Tobago. She achieves this by providing relevant training and development initiatives focused on building the capacity of Trinidad and Tobago Exporters to master the essentials of an effective export strategy.   Whether it’s guiding new Exporters or updating existing Exporters, all training initiatives are designed to equip Exporters with the skills to win new business in international markets and/or generate export leads.

In keeping with her drive for continuous improvement, she recently completed the International Trade Specialist programme facilitated by the eBSI Export Academy in Ireland and administered by exporTT.  Maria recommends this nine month e-learning programme as a must have for all persons new to the world of exporting or requiring a foundation in exports.

In 2015, Maria assumed the role as Ag. Marketing and New Media Manager.  This appointment came on the heels of her successfully project managing exporTT’s Export Development Forum in 2013, exporTT’s premier Inward Buyers Missions dubbed “InBuyTT” in 2014 and 2015 as well as other smaller scale projects like the Official Visit to Trinidad and Tobago of the Vice Minister Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba.  Recently, Mrs. Padilla-Benjamin managed the execution of two exporTT Publications namely - Cuba: Unlocking Opportunities and Fit4Europe featured in the Guardian Newspapers.  These Publications showcased the work of exporTT in two major markets as well as the Exporters, Institutions, Organizations and/or Individuals that powered the success of both initiatives.  Maria remains committed to making exporTT known and assisting in driving the mandate of the organization.

Mrs. Padilla-Benjamin holds a BSc in Management Studies (Hons) from the University of the West Indies and a MBA in General Management from Henley Management College (University of Reading).


Manager Export Market Research Centre

Mr. Harrypersad has approximately 9 years in conducting research in the fields of Business Development, Academics, Professional Development and Exports. He has also been involved in tutoring/ training individuals in Economics, Economic Development and Market Research as well as the development and execution of business development and export promotion projects and programmes.

Mr. Harrypersad holds both an Undergraduate and Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of the West Indies. In the role of manager of the Export Market Research Centre he is responsible for identifying new markets for export development and promotion, providing exporters with market intelligence and training exporters in conducting market research.

 

 


Manager Projects

Brian Benjamin has been involved in exports in various spheres and organisations since 1989.  With over twenty (20) years of exposure to exports, Mr Benjamin has been active in the areas of Trade Negotiations, Trade Facilitation, Rules of Origins, Trade Agreements  and others areas of International Trade. He can be considered a resource for history and information on exports and international trade and holds several qualifications in these areas.

At exporTT Mr Benjamin is responsible for Projects, Monitoring and Evaluation and the Trade Certification functions.

 

 

 

 


Manager Capacity Building

Mr. Crisen Maharaj is the Manager of the Capacity Building and Programme Financing Unit which is responsible for delivering services and initiatives to reduce constraints companies encounter when attempting to export or enter new markets. He is also responsible for the management of exporTT’s Tobago office.

A member of staff since February 26th 2009, Mr. Maharaj is focused on ensuring that exporters have export- ready operations, with export- ready, internationally competitive products and services.

Crisen has work experience in various areas, including Marketing, Finance and Professional Development. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems and Management, and a Master’s in Business Administration with a specialization in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business.

 

 


Manager Human Resources

Ms. Donna Samaroo, Manager Human Resources Unit, has approximately 15 years work experience in the Human Resource Field, including the Oil & Gas, Manufacturing & Security & Technologies Sectors.  Ms. Samaroo has worked with both local and international companies in areas of (but not limited to) Recruitment & Selection, Manpower Planning, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Industrial Relations & International HRM, and her reputation as a solid HR Professional has grown significantly over the years through her successes at various organizations.  Ms. Samaroo adds value to the operations of exporTT Limited, continuously ensuring that the Human Resources Unit of exporTT Limited is committed to delivering a world class service to its human capital by adopting best industry practices, technological trends and keeping within related legislative framework. 

 

 

 


Manager IT

Richard Smith is the Manager of Information and Communication Technology Unit and is responsible for managing and orchestrating the strategic delivery of business technology, infrastructure, PSIP budgets and application deployments.  

He joined the company on March 1, 2011 and is transitioning exporTT  Ltd's ICT environment through a mixture of  cloud, mobile and on premise technologies to facilitate the execution of exporTT's  mandate.

Richard holds a master's degree in degree in Strategic Business Information Technology and graduated at the University of Portsmouth, UK in July, 2006.
